Ryobi 18 in gas weedwacker with attachments - I love this Ryobi gas weed wacker. It does a great job cutting down brush. I love the ease of the attachments you can put on it without going and getting a whole nuther machine.

Excellent value - It starts when I want it to, it cuts thick grass, and the line doesn t break all the time. It s a good tool.

Ryobi Brushcutter - I got more parts than I counted on, a brush cutter and a string trimmer conversion kit. Delivery was fast. Ryobi engine worked fine for about two uses than I began to loose power and was hard to start. Luckily, the local Ryobi authorize repair shop was only 3 miles from my house and they fixed it with a carborator kit under the warrantee. If it doesn t break again then it s a good deal.

Arrived Broken, Amazon won t return, can t get fixed - It arrived packaged very well and I was pretty pumped! I loaded it with 2-cycle gas/oil, and it started beautifully. However, the string head barely moved. After much effort and talking with Ryobi support(40 minute hold time), it was determined that the speed clutch wasn t assembled correctly. Ryobi ref d me back to Amazon. I called Amazon, and since this is a gasoline engine product and I had used it, they won t take it back. I guess because it s a hazardous product at that point. So I go back to Ryobi (30 minute hold time) who suggested a warranty repair and gave me contact info to dealer #1. Calling that dealer, they say Ryobi is too difficult to deal with and they no longer do warranty repair for them. That dealer ref d me to another dealer across town. When I talked dealer #2, they said they could handle it so I left the trimmer there. A day later, dealer #2 called me back saying that Ryobi had told them that they was no longer a warranty repair depot because dealer #1 had that business. Back to dealer #1 who simply explained that this was exactly why they no longer handled any Ryobi warranty repairs. Round and round and round we go. Anyway, I call Ryobi back (45 minute hold time) and they say the next nearest warranty repair is 40 minutes away. I now have a Stihl trimmer that is working beautifully. Now that I am in the market for a $500 table saw, I will avoid Ryobi and Amazon.

One hit wonder - I got to use my weed eater once with all of the attachments I have: weed eater, hedge trimmers, blower, edger. It worked great the next time I was about to use it I was made vividly aware that someone wanted to use it more than I did. It was stolen. Now I have to purchase a new one and the price has gone up.
